ens@t databases
ENS@T databases for ACC, APA, NAPACA and Pheo have been created through the work of the four ENS@T working groups who jointly agreed a core dataset for each tumour entity as a minimum work-up requirement. The ENS@T databases have been successfully established supported by the European Science Foundation (
www.esf.org) through the Melbourne eResearch Group at the University of Melbourne (
www.eresearch.unimelb.edu.au) and are open for data entry since early 2011. The ENS@T databases can be accessed through a unified, security-driven portal that allows targeted data upload and cross-database searching.
All fully paid up ENS@T members can gain access with a unique login (please request your login by email to Anthony Stell: astell@unimelb.edu.au).

The ENS@T databases offer the opportunity to register any new patient with an adrenal mass with a core dataset, which requires less than 5 minutes. In addition, associated biomaterial, surgery, imaging and pathology and clinical follow-up forms can be completed. We expect that this work will be considerably augmented to become a complete Virtual Research Environment (VRE) for adrenal tumour research through a recently awarded grant (FP7 ENS@T Cancer) supported by the European Union under the Framework 7 call.
This means that also biological readouts such as – omics data can be separately entered and linked to the anonymized clinical data. Furthermore, the ENS@T databases offer the opportunity to integrate e-CRFs of ongoing studies in adrenal tumours, eliminating the need for repeated data entry into multiple databases. We will update about any new developments as they happen.
